Managing Projects in Not-For-Profit Organisations Half-Day Workshop in Melbourne - 31 July 2012

The ability to manage projects within time and budget – that deliver real outcomes – is a critical skill set for managers in any industry. Projects form a significant part of managerial life and deliver a range of benefits including innovations, improvements, services and efficiencies. However, delivering successful projects can be a challenging task. Multiple stakeholders, limited resources and funding, shifting priorities, and unclear responsibilities add complexity to even the most straight-forward project.
About the workshop This workshop, developed through a partnership between the Australian Scholarships Foundation (ASF) and Corrs Chambers Westgarth, is designed to provide a practical framework and tools to help you manage a range of projects within your organisation. Tailored for the not-for-profit industry, this interactive half-day workshop provides: · An overview of a practical framework for managing projects · Tools and templates to help you effectively plan, manage, communicate and deliver successful projects · Tips and strategies to deliver projects efficiently with limited resources and funding · The opportunity to share project experiences, knowledge and insights with peers in other not-for-profit organisations
The workshop will close with a lunch where you will have the chance to network and build relationships with your fellow participants.
When? The
workshop is being held on Tuesday 31 July 2012 at the Corrs
Chambers Westgarth Melbourne office - Bourke Place, Lvl 36, 600 Bourke Street, Melbourne. The workshop runs from 8.45am to 1:00pm, followed by lunch to 2pm (included).
Who should attend? Managers in not-for-profit organisations that are new to projects or have limited project management experience.
